Love it

I cant resist buying a subscription when it is 50% off!

Still Needs Work

The app is formatted like the print magazine, which is not ideal to the iPad. The app does not remember your place in the magazine where you stopped reading, and bookmarks frequently just go away. Still, its Analog. The content is great.

Analog!

The app needs work, but the content is still great. Developers: check out the Huffington Post for a really good magazine app.

A great way to read science fiction

Although I loved buying copies at the bookstore, and holding the paper magazine version, now after subscribing and reading on the iPad for about 6 months, Im hooked and there is no going back. Im very happy!

Super

Best feature for me is not having to try to hold the magazine open since the spine doesnt give easily. I can read one side of the page at a time on my iPad and it gives me several options her font size. It is literally perfect. The only downside in the app is turning pages. Theres a trick to getting it in just the right place to turn the page which is usually at the bottom when you finish the first page but sometimes the pay just flip around and dont want to turn. I seem to have the trick of it now. Love love love the magazine in this format.

Not great for IPhones

While I love the content and will continue to read Analog in on form or another, this version has two major flaws for iPhone readers: First, the insistence on the two column version means you will consistently have to stretch and zoom on each page. There is no way to simply move from one page to the next. There is no way to select a comfortable font size to read in. The other major problem is that the app wont automatically save your place like many other e-book apps. If you forget to bookmark when you stop reading, you are forced to search for where you left off. The developers should work on these flaws in future versions.

Great content with an interface that is need of a serious update

I subscribe because I love the Analog content. On the basis of the content, I would give it five stars. However, I find the interface to be unbelievably bad. Its awkward and cumbersome to read the content on an iPhone or an iPad. Analog, please update the interface and make it easier for your customers to read and navigate. Thanks.

Quality not what it used to be

Ive been reading Analog since the late 60s. At one time, I couldnt wait to get my monthly SF fix, often reading it from cover to cover in one sitting. But, over the last decade or so I feel the quality of writing has slowly degraded. Stories have gone from wonderful explorations of new worlds to thinly vailed vehicles to promote some sort of political agenda. I now suffer thru each issue, which may take me a week to do now. And, Im finding myself more and more skipping a story, something I havent done since originally subscribing over 40 years ago as a kid. To bad. I mourn the loss of a great magazine.
